| Abstract: | [cat] Fins la dècada dels 1970 la societat no va parar esment al món de la discapacitat intel·lectual, de manera que les persones afectades disposaven de poc suport per part d’institucions i entitats. A l’any 1974 es va iniciar a Inca un moviment cap a la inclusió social, econòmica i laboral de les persones amb discapacitat psíquica, que va culminar amb la creació d’una entitat que ha treballat per donar serveis a les persones discapacitades de la comarca d’Inca: la Fundació Joan XXIII. S’ha fet un estudi per mostrar el passat, el present i el futur de l’entitat. ; [eng] The society had not paid attention to the world of intellectual disability until the 1970s. People with disabilities received in the past little support from institutions and organizations. As a result of other initiatives towards the social, economic and employment inclusion of people with mental disabilities, a to intellectual disability services providing entity was founded in Inca in 1974. Since this year, this entity has been working to provide services to disabled people from the Inca region: the Foundation Joan XXIII. A study has been done to show the past, present and future of this entity. |
