| Abstract: | [cat] Les transformacions econòmiques i socials que es visqueren arreu de Mallorca i a Inca en particular des de la segona meitat del segle XIX fins a principis del segle XX feren necessària la creació d’institucions noves que donassin resposta als nous reptes. La incorporació de la dona a treballs fora de l’àmbit domèstic va fer provocar que a ciutats industrials com Inca s’haguessin d’establir nous serveis com les cases bressol i els hospitals. Alguns ajuntaments, com el d’Inca, i algunes institucions religioses varen decidir dur endavant aquestes cases bressol. ; [eng] The economic and social transformations that took place throughout Mallorca and Inca in particular from the second half of the 19th century to the beginning of the 20th century made it necessary to create new institutions that responded to the new challenges. The incorporation of women into work outside the domestic sphere led to the establishment of new services in industrial cities such as the Inca, such as nursing homes and hospitals. Some town councils, such as Inca and some religious institutions, decided to build these nursing homes. |
