| Resum-Abstract: | [spa] En el presente trabajo se da cuenta de la topografía y estudio de la Cova des Pas de Vallgornera. En el mismo se detallan tanto su morfología como aspectos relevantes de su génesis y cronología. Son de destacar las importantes continuaciones subacuáticas existentes en los lagos explorados. [eng] In 1955 a caving group, led by Josep Maria Palau i Camps, initiated a systematic campaign of cave surveying and research on the biospeleology of Mallorcan caves. This was the first Mallorcan caving group, the Equip Mallorquí d’Espeleologia (EME), which orginated within the Societat d’Historia Natural de les Balears. The task of the EME lasted for at least two years and they surveyed caves on the Serra de na Burguesa. Miquel Trias has located nine of these surveys within his files. In this paper we give some of the history of this pioneering group and we also bring to light previously unpublished results of its work. |
