| Abstract: | [cat] La relectura i revisió dels còdexs del Llibre del Repartiment de Mallorca, en les seves versions àrab, llatina i catalana, poden proporcionar encara molta informació i també qualque sorpresa. La seva facilitat de consulta, una vegada que han estat editats en facsímil, ajuda a comprendre la societat andalusina prèvia a la conquesta i els canvis introduïts pels conqueridors. En el nostre article fem servir uns pocs paràgrafs, juntament amb la documentació escrita immediatament posterior, per deduir el mètode de divisió de l’Illa en dues parts desiguals, una de les quals correspon a l’actual terme municipal de Ciutat de Mallorca. ; [eng] The rereading and revision of the codex of the Llibre del Repartiment de Mallorca, in its Arabic, Latin and Catalan versions, can still provide a lot of information and also some surprises. Its ease of consultation, once published in facsimile, helps to understand the Andalusian society prior to the conquest and the changes introduced by the conquerors. In our article we use a few paragraphs, together with the documentation immediately following, to deduce the method of division and distribution of the Island into two unequal parts, one of which corresponds to the current municipal term of Ciutat de Mallorca. |
