[cat] Una de les figures rellevants de la vida musical de finals del segle XIX i principis del segle XX fou Josep Balaguer i Vallès. Personatge polifacètic d’origen inquer, destacà com a pianista acompanyant al Teatre Real de Madrid, com a director de la banda militar del Regiment d’Infanteria núm. 1 de Palma, de la banda militar del Regiment d’Infanteria d’Inca núm. 62, a més d’empresari musical i mecenes d’arts. Mitjançant l’ús de la premsa, aquesta comunicació pretén esbrinar l’aportació de Josep Balaguer i Vallès a la música mallorquina d’entre segles i primera meitat del segle XX. ; [eng] One of the relevant musical figures of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries was Josep Balaguer i Vallès. A multifaceted character of Inquer origin, he emphasized as accompanying pianist at the Teatro Real de Madrid, as conductor of the military band of the Infantry Regiment of Palma no.1, from the military band of the Infantry Regiment of Inca no. 62, as well as musical entrepreneur and art patron. Through the use of the press, this communication aims to find out the contribution of Josep Balaguer i Vallès to Mallorcan music from the mid to the first half of the 20th century |
