[cat] El turisme comunitari és la fórmula que permet un major contacte entre el turista i l’autòcton, però, també, és el que té un major impacte sobre la cultura de la comunitat. Davant l’arribada del turisme, les comunitats indígenes de l’Amazonia solen prendre dues postures antagòniques: o bé es tanquen dintre d’elles mateixes i eviten l’arribada dels turistes, o bé s’obren a les pràctiques turístiques i intenten gestionar-ho. De totes maneres, de cada cop més, les empreses foranes intenten introduir-se i explotar els recursos pel seu compte, introduint les formes industrialitzades i massives del turisme. Al mateix temps, la seva cultura o bé es va impregnant del modernisme i el consumisme, iniciant un continu declivi, o pel contrari, es fomenta, inclús se n’inventen activitats noves, per tal d’explotar-les pels turistes, provocant un bloqueig i artificialització de les tradicions que també poden arribar a produir la seva mort per manca d’arrelament dintre de la societat.
