[spa] En la presente comunicación se analizan las actividades e iniciativas relacionadas con los inicios del Turismo Cultural, vinculado al patrimonio prehistórico, en las islas de Mallorca y Menorca desde 1887 hasta el 1936. El descubrimiento del patrimonio prehistórico por parte de viajeros fue continuo y creciente, pero leve si se compara con otros destinos turísticos. La explotación realizada de dicho Patrimonio por los autóctonos como recurso turístico gozó, de forma general, de un fomento escueto si se tiene en cuenta toda la restante oferta turística. ; [eng] The present article analyzes the tourism activities and initiatives related to the beginning of the Cultural Tourism, linked to prehistòric heritage, on the islands of Mallorca and Menorca from 1887 to 1936. The discovery of the prehistòric heritage by travelers was constant and growing, but minor compared to other tourist destinations. The use of this heritage as a tourism resource was not generally promoted by the local authorities when compared to the rest of the tourism offer. |
