[cat] En aquest article, a partir de l’experiència de les Illes Balears es planteja la incidència que l’activitat turística té sobre la situació sociolingüística de la societat receptora. Un incidència que, en societats minoritzades lingüísticament, si no s’hi arbitren mesures compensatòries, sol tendir a arraconar la presència social i ambiental de la llengua del territori i, en conseqüència, la seva vitalitat, tant des del punt objectiu com subjectiu. En aquests casos, la llengua territorial es troba doblement interferida: pel model d’ordenació lingüística de l’estat i per l’activitat turística tendent a supeditar el funcionament empresarial als interessos econòmics immediats. A més, també es proposen algunes mesures, assumibles des de la mateixa activitat turística, per a contrarestar el sacsejament lingüístic que suposa aquesta indústria. ; [eng] From the experience of the Balearic Islands as its starting point, examines the influence of tourist activity on the sociolingüístic situation of the host society. An influence which, if compensatory measures are not taken, tends to corral the social and environmental presence of the territorial language and, as a consequence, its vitality, both from an objective and a subjective point of view. In these cases, the territorial language is doubly disturbed: by the State model of lingüístic order and by tourist activity that tends to subordínate business functioning to immediate economic interests. Further, some measures will also be proposed, which may be assumed within the tourism activity, to counteract the lingüístic upheaval supposed by this industry. |
