[cat] En aquest treball es presenta una visió panoràmica dels d’escriptors i viatgers anglòfons que, seduïts per Mallorca, deixaren constància escrita de les seves experiències i emocions viscudes durant la seva estada. El que es pretén és veure com, des del segle XIX fins a l’actualitat, les publicacions derivades d’aquestes visites han configurat una important promoció turística i cultural de l’illa, a la vegada que han creat una imatge internacional del paisatge i caràcter mallorquins. ; [eng] This paper presents an overview of Anglophone writers and travelers who, seduced by Mallorca, left a written record of their experiences and emotions lived during their stay. The aim is to see, from the nineteenth century to the present, how the publications derived from these visits have formed a tourist and cultural promotion of the island at the same time they have created an international image of the landscape and nature from Mallorca. |
