[cat] El present article té com a objectiu definir el significat, tipologia i potencial del Patrimoni Mundial de la UNESCO, així com presentar de manera específica el Patrimoni Mundial de les Illes Balears. Considerem important conèixer el paper d’aquest tipus de patrimoni en el context del Congrés Internacional de Turisme Cultural: anàlisi, diagnòstic i perspectives de futur en què presentem aquestes pàgines, de manera que es pugui valorar el patrimoni com a potent reclam d’un turisme sostenible i respectuós amb les varietats culturals. ; [eng] This article aims to define the meaning, types and potential of the UNESCO World Heritage, as well as present specifically the World Heritage of the Balearic Islands. We consider important to know the role of such heritage in the context of the International Conference on Cultural Tourism: analysis, diagnosis and prospects, trying to assess the heritage as a powerful tourist attraction,e sustainable and respectful with cultural variety. |
