[spa] El hogar del reconocido poeta y autor Robert Graves (1895-1985) abrió al público en 2006. Está ubicado en Deià en plena Serra de Tramuntana de Mallorca, ahora Paisaje Cultural del Patrimonio Mundial de la UNESCO. Graves vivió en Deià desde 1929 hasta su muerte en 1985, y construyó su casa en 1932. Es única en cuanto mantiene el mobiliario original; el estudio permanece tal como estaba cuando escribió su Yo, Claudio en 1934. La visita está enfocada hacia individuos o pequeños grupos con intereses culturales. No cierra en invierno. El artículo trata del funcionamiento de la casa con un personal reducido, y sugiere como podrían promocionarse otros elementos culturales en la isla. ; [eng] The home of the famous English poet and author Robert Graves (1895-1985) opened to the public in 2006. It is situated in Deià, in the Serra de Tramuntana of Mallorca, now a UNESCO World Heritage Cultural Landscape. Graves lived in Deià from 1929 until his death in 1985 and built his house in 1932. It is unique in that it retains all the original furnishings; his study is preserved just as it was when he wrote I, Claudius in 1934. The visit caters for individuals or small groups with cultural interests. It does not cióse in winter. The house and garden are managed with a small staff, and the text suggests how other cultural attractions of similar signifícame on the island might be promoted. |
