; [eng] The aim of the text is to analyze photography of cultural heritage that was associated directly with the phenomenon of tourism in the Baleario Islands during 1905-1943. This type of imagery was directed towards a specific profile, the tourist. Its function was to create a certain valué of a place, which also reflected the changing promotional interests of the moment that were adapted according to the touristic model that they wanted to reach. The thesis intends to show how photography was employed to promote cultural heritage within a touristic context during the first half of the twentieth century. As the phenomenon of mass tourism reached the Baleario Islands, such valúes were abandoned in a meditated way. These variations of criteria began in the period between wars, notably from 1928 with the creation of the Board of National Tourism. |
