[cat] La Unió Europea és la primera destinació turística mundial. L’any 2013 va gestionar el 40% del total del mercat global. En termes econòmics l’activitat turística és el tercer motor de la Unió Europea que genera directament i indirectament més del 10% del PIB de la Unió i crea 9’7 milions de llocs de treball a 1’8 milions d’empreses. Però hi ha destinacions emergents a Àsia i al Pacífic que si continuen la tendència actual podrien fer-se l’any 2030 amb gran part del mercat turístic del Mediterrani. Per aquest motiu la Comissió Europea treballa en una estratègia que permeti perllongar el seu lideratge del sector mitjançant accions que englobin innovació, sostenibilitat i creixement econòmic. ; [eng] The European Union is the world’s first tourist destination. In 2013 it handled 40% of the total global market. In economic terms, tourism is the third engine of the European Union generates directly and indirectly more than 10% of the Union’s GDP and creates 9.7 million jobs to 1.8 million companies. But there is emerging destinations in Asia and the Pacific if the current trend continues could be made in 2030 with most of the tourist market in the Mediterranean. For this reason the European Commission is working on a strategy that allows you to extend its leadership in the sector through actions that include innovation, sustainability and economic growth. |
