[ENG] Most turn of the century Spanish writers were classified under modernism which, at the same time, included various literary trends: symbolism, Parnassianism, Decadent, the Generation of '98, etc. However, at the same time, some authors cultivated these different tendencies, as is the case with Valle-Inclán. In his modernist beginnings we can already find not only symbolist or Parnassianist features, but also decadent ones. This can be seen in the short-story collection entitled Corte de Amor which will be subject to study here. Nevertheless, Valle- Inclán’s decadence gains more intensity with the «grotesque». ; [SPA] La mayoría de los escritores españoles de fin de siglo fueron incluidos en el modernismo que, a su vez, tuvo diferentes tendencias literarias: simbolismo, parnasianismo, decadentismo, noventayochismo, etc. Pero a su vez, algunos autores cultivaron estas diferentes tendencias, tal es el caso de Valle-Inclán, en cuyos inicios modernistas ya se encuentran rasgos no solo simbolistas o parnasianos sino también decadentistas, así ocurre en la colección de cuentos titulada Corte de amor, que es lo que nuestra aportación estudia.
