[SPA] La Nueva Genética abre un mundo de posibilidades que exige una reflexión ética en profundidad para orientar las actividades biotecnológicas hacia la construcción de un mundo más justo y feliz. Nace así la Ética de las Biotecnologías o GenÉtica, que se ocupa de la manipulación genética referida tanto a seres humanos como no humanos, desde equipos interdisciplinares y desde distintas tradiciones éticas. Aunque cada tema requiere una reflexión ética específica, este artículo se propone trazar el marco de lo que denomina una GenÉtica Transnacional, configurada por principios éticos que ya están siendo tenidos en cuenta en las actuales investigaciones biotecnológicas, y considera en la exposición de cada uno de ellos problemas concretos, como el estatuto del embrión, la eugenesia liberal, la cuestión de los cultivos transgénicos, o la relación con la naturaleza no humana. ; [ENG] The New Genetics opens up a world of possibilities that requires an in-depth ethical reflection to guide biotechnological activities towards building a fairer and happier world. This is the origin of Ethics of Biotechnologies or GenEtics, which addresses the genetic manipulation of human beings and other animals from an interdisciplinary standpoint and takes different ethical traditions into account. Although each issue requires a specific ethical reflection, this article traces the framework of what it denominates Transnational Genetics, which is made up of ethical principles that are already being considered in current biotechnological research, and examines specific aspects of each issue, such as the embryo statute, liberal eugenics, transgenic crops and the relationship with non-human nature. |
