[SPA] Desde un punto de vista descriptivo, en este artículo se analiza una de las formes de pensamiento mágico presentes en las “sociedades avanzadas”. Así, estableciendo un paralelismo entre el modelo terapéutico de la biomedicina y la práctica chamánica, puede revelarse la importancia que adquiere la fe en los diferentes símbolos que intervienen en el núcleo de la relación médico-paciente; fe que de manera notable refuerza las expectativas de curación del enfermo. ; [ENG] From a descriptive point of view, this article analyses one of the actual forms of magic thought in “advanced societies”. In this way, establishing a parallelism between the therapeutic model of biomedicine and the practice of the shaman, the importance acquired by the faith in the different symbols that intervene in the nucleus of doctor-patient relationship can be revealed. In fact, this faith reinforces the patient’s expectations of a cure in a notable way. |
