[CAT] Aquest escrit parteix d'un fragment dels Essais, situat en el capítol "De l'institution des enfans", en el que Montaigne vindica una filosofia alegre enfront de la que considera filosofia trista del seu segle. En aquest capítol, i en contrast amb la consideració negativa de la filosofia que domina en els Essais (i especialment en el seu capítol més famós, "Apologie de Raimond Sebond”), hi ha una defensa entusiasta de la filosofia, considerada corn a medicina i corn a disciplina fonamental per a l'educació de l'infant. A partir del fragment en qüestió s'intenta esbrinar que entén Montaigne per filosofia i es suggereix corn aquesta idea esta lligada amb l'activitat d'escriptura dels Essais. ; [ENG] This paper refers to a fragment from Montaigne's work Essays, which can be read in the chapter titled "De I'institution des enfans". In it, Montaigne defends a joyful philosophy against the philosophy of his age, when he describes as a sad one. In this chapter, contrasting the negative consideration we find in the Essays (and mainly in his most famous chapter, "Apologie de Raimond Sebond"), there appears an enthusiastic defense of philosophy. Montaigne considers it as a medicine and as a fundamental art in children's education. The paper tries to clarify the meaning of "philosophy" in Montaigne's work and it is suggested that its meaning is linked to the sort of writing developed in the Essays. |
