[eng] The biography which Ramon Llull dictated to the monks of Vauvert in 1311 has been known by various titles. Nowadays the one most used is Vita coaetanea. In the manuscript tradition and in the catalogues of Llull’s production as well as in early inventories it is also referred to as Vita magistri Raymundi or else Liber de conversione Raymundi Lullii, with occasional variations. A study of different sources shows that the first of these titles is not documented before the twentieth century, while that which gives Llull’s name and his status of master goes back to testimonies of the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries. The mention of his conversion does not appear in the title until the end of the sixteenth century. The article therefore proposes going back to Vita magistri Raymundi as the principal denomination of the work. ; [cat] La biografia que Ramon Llull va dictar als monjos de Vauvert el 1311 ha estat coneguda amb diversos títols. Actualment, el més difós és el de Vita coaetanea. En la tradició manuscrita de l’obra, en catàlegs de la producció lul·liana i en inventaris antics també hi consta com a Vita magistri Raymundi o bé Liber de conversione Raymundi Lullii, amb diverses variants. L’estudi de les diferents fonts posa de manifest que el primer dels títols no està documentat abans del segle xx, mentre que el que fa referència al nom i a la condició de mestre de Ramon es remunta a testimonis dels segles xiv i xv. L’esment de la conversió no apareix al títol fins al final del segle xvi. L’article proposa, en conseqüència, la recuperació de Vita magistri Raymundi com a principal denominació de l’obra. |
