the arrival of the ICT in the domestic sphere has radically changed the understanding of communication. This phenomenon is mostly perceived in the development of a new generation of digital natives: children and young adults who have integrated these strategies in their cultural paradigm. Children’s literature tends to address this change and incorporate these new communicative approaches in their texts so as to evolve with the Information Age. Authors such as Rowling and Pullman clearly intend to do so: they incorporate the use of these new ICT in their narratives in order to stimulate an active readership. The starting point of both authors is to stimulate critical thinking in their child readers, for them to manage the contents they access through the ICT judiciously.

l’arribada de les TIC a l’àmbit domèstic ha canviat radicalment la manera en què s’entén la comunicació. Aquest fenomen es percep notablement en el desenvolupament d’una nova generació de nadius digitals: infants i adolescents que han integrat aquestes estratègies dins el seu paradigma cultural. La literatura infantil té tendència a adreçar aquest canvi i incorporar aquestes noves tècniques de comunicació en els seus texts, per tal d’evolucionar d’acord amb l’Era de la Informació. Autors com la Rowling i el Pullman clarament pretenen fer això: incorporen dins les seves narratives l’ús de les TIC per tal d’estimular el lector actiu.
