[cat] El segle XIX fou temps de gran expansió per a l’economia d’Inca. A la vegada, arribaren les idees de la Il·lustració, que propiciaren diferents canvis socials, que a Espanya es mostren a les diferents constitucions. Un fruit d’aquests canvis és la desamortització que el Govern va dur a terme a les propietats de l’Església, i de la qual els monestirs de clausura tocaren algunes conseqüències que feren canviar alguns costums i horaris de les religioses. La visita del bisbe Manso ens parla dels referits canvis i de l’esforç que calia realitzar per restaurar la pau monacal i fer reflorir la vida espiritual. ; [eng] The 19th century was a time of great expansion for the Inca economy. At the same time, the ideas of the Enlightenment arrived which led to different social changes which, in Spain, are shown in the different Constitutions. One of the results of these changes is the confiscation of the Church's properties by the Government, which had some consequences for the cloistered monasteries, which changed some of the customs and timetables of the Nuns. Bishop Manso's Visit tells us about these changes and the effort that needed to be made to restore monastic peace and make spiritual life flourish. |
