[cat] A mitjan segle XVIII la Universitat i vila d’Inca va comanar uns retrats dels aleshores “fills il·lustres” per adornar la sala on se celebraven els consells. En el darrer terç del segle XIX el setmanari L’Ignorancia comenta que han desaparegut els quadres de la Sala i no saben on són. Després d’un parell d’anys, els veim a la sagristia i a altres dependències de la parròquia de Santa Maria la Major. ; [eng] In the middle of the 18th century, the University and town of Inca commissioned portraits of the then "illustrious sons" to adorn the Hall where the Councils were held. In the last third of the 19th century, the weekly "L'Ignorancia" comments that the paintings from La Sala have disappeared and they don't know where they are. After a couple of years we see them in the sacristy and other dependencies of the parish of Santa Maria la Major. |
