[cat] Després d'escorcollar les arrels d'aquesta família de pagesos inquers, s'acompanyà l'infant al Seminari, on fou acollit pel padrí de fonts, que era el rector de la institució. Veim com progressà en saviesa i en valors humans i espirituals, tot guanyant-se la confiança de companys i de superiors que el portarien a ser elegit per bisbe. Després de dos curts pontificats, un a Tenerife (1918-1922) i un altre a Girona (1922-1925), fou nomenat bisbe de Mallorca i d'Eivissa, i l'estudi del pontificat mallorquí és l'objecte d'aquest treball. ; [eng] After investigating the roots of this family of farmers, the child is accompanied to the Seminary, where he is welcomed by his godparent, who was the rector of the institution. We see how he progresses in wisdom and in human and spiritual values, gaining the trust of his schoolmates and superiors who will lead him to be chosen as bishop. After two short pontificates, one in Tenerife (1918-1922) and the other in Girona (1922-1925), he was proclaimed Mallorca and Ibiza’s Bishop, and the study of the Mallorcan pontificate is the object of this communication. |
