Abstract:

Segons les darreres dades oficials de 2014 –enregistrades al Padró municipal– la població d’Inca és de 30.625 habitants, dels quals un 16 % tenen nacionalitat estrangera. De fet, d’ençà l’any 2000 la població s’ha incrementat un 37 %, però la població estrangera ho ha fet per sobre del 400 %, producte d’una metamorfosi socioeconòmica fins aleshores inèdita que ha canviat l’economia local tant sectorialment com espacialment. Amb aquest rerefons, es pretén analitzar el fenomen de la immigració com a factor clau en el canvi demogràfic del segle XXI a Inca, així com en la seva localització espacial. L’objectiu no és d’altre que aportar llum sobre com forjar el futur de la nostra ciutat a través d’accions integrals en planificació urbana, educativa i econòmica. ; The latest official data from the 2014 Census reported that Inca population reached 30,625 inhabitants, 16 % of whom were foreign nationals. In this way, since 2000 the population increased a 37 %, although the foreign population augmented over 400 %, because of an unprecedented socioeconomic metamorphosis which has changed the local economy both sectoral and spatially. Under this context, this study aims to analyze the immigration process as a key factor in the demographic change in Inca during the first decades of XXI century, as well as their geographical distribution. The main objective is shedding light on how shape the future of our town by means of integrated actions in urban planning, education and economics. |
