[cat] El projecte pastoral del papa Lleó XIII proposava la renovació de la cristiandat i el diàleg amb la societat. El bisbe Pere Joan Campins i Barceló posà en pràctica el projecte papal a la diòcesi de Mallorca. La intenció de Campins implicava la renovació dels estudis bíblics. Mn. Bartomeu Pascual i Marroig (1875-1967), deixeble de Campins, assumí, entre moltes altres, la tasca de renovellar els estudis bíblics al Seminari i afavorir el coneixement de l’Escriptura entre els fidels. A més de professor, divulgador, investigador i pelegrí a Terra Santa, Mn. Pascual destacà per la fundació del Museu Bíblic (1910). ; [eng] The pastoral project of Pope Leo XIII proposed a renewal of Christianity and the dialog with the society. The bishop Pere Joan Campins i Barceló put in practice the papal project at the diocese of Mallorca. Campins’ intention implied the renewal of the biblical studies. Rev. Bartomeu Pascual i Marroig (1875-1967), Campins’ disciple, assumed, among many others, the task of renewing the biblical studies at the Seminary and favoring the knowledge of the Scripture among the faithful. As a professor, disseminator, investigator and pilgrim to the Holy Land he stood out, above all, for the foundation of the Biblical Museum (1910). |
