[cat] Es fa un estudi sobre l’arribada del futbol a Mallorca, tant a Palma com en les diverses poblacions de la Part Forana: les primeres notícies, els primers partits en camps improvisats i els primers equips relativament estables. No interessa en si com es formaren els primers equips federats, ni l’organització de les primeres competicions oficials, sinó com es començà a practicar i els motius pels quals es popularitzà aquest esport. Tot en una època, finals del segle XIX i principis del segle XX, en la qual els esports més populars a Mallorca eren el ciclisme i el frontó. ; [eng] Here, a study is carried out on the arrival of football in Mallorca, both in Palma and in the various towns in the Outer Part: the first news, the first matches in makeshift fields and the first relatively stable teams. It doesn’t matter how the first federated teams were formed, or the organization of the first official competitions, if not how it began to be practiced and the reasons why this sport became popular. All in one era, late nineteenth and early twentieth century, in which the most popular sports in Mallorca were cycling and fronton. |
