El present text és fruit d’una troballa arxivística, concretament d’un document en el qual s’identifica a Joan Antoni Oms, escultor mallorquí de gran renom, treballant a l’església jesuïta de Monti-Sion per la qual realitzà un retaule dedicat al Beat Lluís Gonzaga. Malgrat l’escassa informació que ens ofereix aquest document, es tracta, sens dubte, d’un text de gran importància ja que suposa l’ampliació de la producció artística de l’escultor mallorquí ; This paper has been made thanks to the historical discovery of a document where Joan Antoni Oms, Majorcan sculptor, is mentioned working in the Jesuitic church of Monti-Sion. There he made an altarpiece devoted to the blessed Lluís Gonzaga. Despite the little information offered by this document, it is with no doubt a very important text because it involves the expansion of the Majorcan sculptor’s artistic work |
