[cat] L’Atles Ornitonímic de les Illes Balears (AOIB), objectius, metodologia i brevísim tast dels resultats. El present article exposa la metodologia, objectius i algunes anècdotes recollides durant deu anys d’enquestes, realitzades per conèixer els noms populars de les aus a les illes Balears i per poder contrastar la variació geogràfica present en els cent vint-i-cinc nuclis escorcollats. Per a tal feina s’entrevistaren sis-centes vint persones que aportaren més de trentados mil registres, amb un resultat de prop de dos mil noms per designar unes cent-seixanta espècies d’ocells. Aquest text és un avanç i no s’hi exposen els resultats, que encara estan en procés d’elaboració. ; [eng] The Atlas of Ornithological Names in the Balearic Islands (AOIB), objectives, methodology and a brief taste of the results. The current article presents the methodology, objectives and some of the anecdotes collected during ten years of interviews, undertaken to uncover the popular names of the birds of the Balearic islands and in order to check the geographical variation present in the 125 communities examined. For such a task, 620 people were interviewed providing more than 32,000 records and resulting in close to 2000 names for some 160 bird species. This text is a fore-taster and does not present the results, which are still being processed. |
