[spa] Primeros resultados del marcado de gaviota patiamarilla Larus michahellis con anillas de lectura en las islas Baleares. Durante los años 2003 y 2004, se han marcado con anillas de color 651 pollos de gaviota patiamarilla Larus michahellis en 22 colonias de las islas Baleares. Hasta mayo del 2005, se han registrado 201 controles correspondientes a 118 aves diferentes, lo que supone un 18.13% de las aves marcadas. Se constata que al igual que otras poblaciones del Mediterráneo occidental, una parte de las gaviotas de las Baleares realizan un desplazamiento hacia zonas de invernada en sentido noroeste y oeste, mientras que otra fracción, inverna en las propias islas. Las zonas de invernada postjuvenil de las aves de Mallorca y Cabrera se encuentran preferentemente en la propia isla de Mallorca. Las aves de Menorca presentan un dispersión preferente hacia la zona de Cataluña. Las de las Pitiusas se localizan en su mayoría en el Atlántico. ; [eng] First results from marking the Yellow-legged Gull Larus michahellis with rings readable at distance in the Balearic Islands. During 2003 and 2004, 651 Yellow-legged Herring Gulls Larus michahellis from 22 Balearic Islands colonies were marked with colour rings. Up to May 2005, there were 201 sightings from 118 different birds, amounting to 18.13% of the marked birds. It was found that, as for other populations from the west Mediterranean, some of the Balearics gulls undertake a dispersal towards wintering areas to the north-west and west, while another portion winters in the islands themselves. The preferred post-juvenile wintering zone for the birds from Mallorca and Cabrera is Mallorca itself. The birds from Menorca show a preferential disperal to the Catalonia region. Those from Ibiza and Formentera are mainly found in the Atlantic. |
