| Abstract: | [CAT] La història de la meteorologia al llarg del segle es dibuixa damunt tres fites o esdeveniments memorables, retratats per altres tantes màximes magistrals representatives, de les quals són autors, respectivament: (I) V. Bjerknes (1904), que afirma que la predicció meteorològica hauria de ser escomesa com un problema de física i de mecànica; (II) C. G. Rossby (1940), que estableix de forma indiscutible la primordial importància de la vorticitat en el camp del moviment i el seu pronòstic; (III) E. N. Lorenz (1996), que introdueix una nova noció i funció del caos en la recerca d’una certa impredictibilitat del comportament atmosfèric. El títol d’aquest article rememora la vida de J. M. Jansà, cronològicament paral·lela a la seqüència d’aquests esdeveniments. ; [ENG] The history of Meteorology throughout the present century is outlined on the basis of three main sequential events, depicted by three representative sentences original respectively of: (I) V. Bjerknes (1904) stating that the weather forecasting should be undertaken as a problem of Physics and Mechanics. (II) C.G. Rossby (1940) establishing unquestionably the foremost importance of vorticity in the field of motion and its prediction. (III) E.N. Lorenz (1996) introducing a new meaning and role of chaos in the research of a certain impredictability of the atmospheric behaviour. The title of this paper reminds how the life of J. Mª. Jansà is chronologically parallel to the sequence of these events. |
