| Abstract: | Varón africano de 39 años con infección VIH estadío C3 en tratamiento activo que acude a Urgencias por cuadro de varios días de fiebre y disnea. En la exploración destacaba hepatoesplenomegalia importante y en las pruebas complementarias existía pancitopenia, que fue en aumento, así como derrame pleural bilateral y adenopatías retroperitoneales. Se probaron distintos tratamientos empíricos sin resultado. Durante el ingreso presentó empeoramiento de su disnea, requiriendo ingreso en UCI donde presentó parada cardiorrespiratoria. ; A 39 years old african male, with an advanced HIV infection (C3 stage), admitted to the emergency room because of dyspnea and fever of recent onset. He had hepatosplenomegaly, progressive pancytopenia, bilateral pleural effusion and retroperitoneal adenophaties. Doctors tried several empirical treatments without response. While admitted he showed worsening of his lung function and was admitted to the ICU, suffering cardiorespiratory arrest. |
