| Abstract: | [cat] “Leather Factory Shop” és el títol d’una exposició que s’ha pogut veure al Museu del Calçat i de la Indústria d’Inca des del 10 de maig fins al 15 de novembre de 2024. Aquesta mostra ha suposat una primera investigació sobre una indústria gairebé no documentada, la de la confecció de la pell. Aquest va ser un sector molt rellevant al desenvolupament econòmic d’Inca i la comarca del Raiguer en les darreres dècades del segle XX. El següent article explica el procés de recerca i documentació prèvia al muntatge de l’esmentada exposició. Ha estat un treball de recopilació d’informació a partir de desenes d’entrevistes i trobades amb persones, empresaris i treballadors, vinculades al món i a la indústria de la pell. Tot això ha permès donar veu a un conjunt de persones que hi treballaren per demostrar la rellevància d’aquest sector i posar en valor la seva importància social, econòmica i històrica. ; [eng] “Leather Factory Shop” is the title of an exhibition that the Museum of Footwear and Industry in Inca hosted from 10 May to 15 November 2024. It was the first research into an almost undocumented industry, that of leather clothing, which was key for the economic development of Inca and the Raiguer region in the last decades of the 20th century. The following article explains the research and documentation process conducted before installing the aforementioned exhibition. The work was based on gathering information from dozens of interviews with individuals, businessmen and workers linked to the leather universe and industry. All this made it possible to give a voice to a group of people who worked in the business, while also proving the significance of this sector and highlighting its social, economic and historical relevance. |
