| Abstract: | [cat] A diferència de ciutats com Palma, Girona, Toledo o Tomar, entre d’altres, en què la situació exacta de la sinagoga medieval està documentalment referenciada o l’edifici es conserva, a Inca, tot i poder provar la seva existència, fins a dia d’avui, cap document o intervenció arqueològica ha pogut demostrar la seva ubicació. Malgrat tot, després d’un treball d’investigació, estudi i comparativa amb altres sinagogues situades als antics territoris de les corones d’Aragó i Castella, així com també al Regne de Portugal, s’ha pogut proposar la hipòtesi que el casal de Can Monroig d’Inca hagués constituït la seu del temple cultual hebraic durant l’edat mitjana. Així doncs, el que aquest article pretén és posar de relleu aquesta possibilitat i provocar-ne l’estudi tant arqueològic com documental per tal de poder confirmar o descartar la dita tesi. ; [eng] Unlike cities such as Palma, Girona, Toledo and Tomar, among others, where the exact location of the medieval synagogue is documented or the building is preserved, in Inca, despite being able to prove its existence, until to date, no document or archaeological intervention has been able to prove its location. However, after research, study and comparison of other synagogues located in the former territories of the crowns of Aragon and Castile, as well as in the kingdom of Portugal, it has been possible to propose the hypothesis that the house of Can Monroig d’Inca would have been seat of the Hebrew cult temple during the Middle Ages. Therefore, the aim of this article is to highlight this possibility and provoke both archaeological and documentary study in order to be able to confirm or rule out this thesis. |
