L'Astronomia a Roma en el segle XIX es desenvolupa dins el Col·lcgi Romà i es veu afectada pels esdeveniments polítics de l'època. En aquest escrit es descriuen diferents fets que tingueren una influència directa sobre els estudis d'astronomia lligats al Vaticà. Es descriu com Angelo Secchi arribà a ser director del Col·legi Romà i com s'arribà a la creació oficial de la Specola Vaticana pel Papa Lleó XIII a l'any 1891. ; The Astronomy in Rome during the 19th century was developed in the Roman College and was affected by the political events of the time. Different episodes with a direct influence on the Astronomy studies linked to the Vatican are described in this paper. It is described how Angelo Secchi became director of the Roman College and how the Specola Vaticana was created officially by Pope Leo XIII in 1891. |
