Abstract:

New storm petrel Hydrobates pelagicus breeding sites in the Salines of Ibiza and Formentera Natural Park (Pitiuse Islands-Balearics). The presence of the storm petrel Hydrobates pelagicus in the Salines of Ibiza and Formentera Natural Park has been known since 1933. Up to 2003, five breeding localities have been recorded within the protected area. This note reports the discovery of four new breeding sites for the species: Malví Pla, Malví Gros, s’Escull d’en Terra and s’Alga. |
