[eng] First observation of ring-necked duck Aythya collaris for the Balearic Islands. On 7th December 2007 a first-year male ring-necked duck Aythya collaris was observed and photographed at s’Albufera de Mallorca. If accepted, this will be the first record for anywhere in the Balearic Islands, even though in recent times this American duck has occurred fairly regularly during the winter months at certain sites on the Iberian peninsula. |
