Abstract:

[eng] First breeding record of Common tem Sterna hirundo in the Balearic Islands. The nesting behaviour of a pair of this species, detected the 20th june in a zone called es Colombar Petit, is described. They began constructing a nest the 2nd July and they incubated the eggs in tum till the 23rd June. The nest was destroyed by a Yellow-legged Gull which ate the eggs. |
